Address mail with the person's full name and 8-digit BOP register number (no spaces or dashes) directly before their last name, followed by "USP Leavenworth, U.S. Penitentiary" and the mailing address above. Leavenworth also has a satellite prison camp with its own housing — confirm which unit applies.

Do not send money to the facility's mailing address — federal funds are processed centrally. Use MoneyGram's ExpressPayment (receive code 7932) or Western Union (the "Send2Corrections" app works for this), or mail a money order to the BOP's central lockbox in Des Moines, Iowa. Always confirm the exact current mailing instructions on bop.gov before sending.

Confirm the current phone/tablet and money-deposit provider directly with the facility, since these are occasionally switched to a different vendor.
