submissions@inmateconnection.orgGTL (now branded ViaPath) is one of the largest phone, messaging, and video visit providers used by jails and prisons nationwide. Once you've unlocked a profile and know your loved one's facility, here's how to actually reach them:
Go to ConnectNetwork.com or download the GettingOut app, then create a free account and search for the facility where your loved one is held. You can also call ConnectNetwork directly at 800-483-8314 to set up an account over the phone.
Most facilities require you to add money to your account before you can message, send photos or short videos, or receive calls. Minimum deposits are typically around $10, though this varies by facility.
At most facilities, phone calls are outbound only — meaning your loved one calls out to you from a facility phone or tablet, rather than you calling in to them. Make sure your number is added and approved on their account so they're able to reach you.
Once your account is funded, you can send text-style messages, photos, and short video messages through the app or website, which they can view from their facility tablet.
Rates and available features vary by facility. If you run into issues or aren't sure whether a specific facility uses GTL/ViaPath, call ConnectNetwork support at 877-650-4249, or check that facility's page in our Facilities directory.

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. When you submit a profile on behalf of someone else, we collect the information you provide (name, facility, photo, etc.). When you make a payment, Stripe processes your billing information — we do not store card numbers on our servers.
We use Supabase for database and authentication, Stripe for payment processing, and Netlify for hosting. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their data handling.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Profile data submitted to the site is displayed publicly as intended. We may disclose information if required by law.
We use session cookies for authentication. No advertising or tracking cookies are used on this site.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing submissions@inmateconnection.org. Profile data submitted by third parties (family members listing an inmate) can be removed via our takedown process below.

By accessing or using Inmate Connection ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
You must be 18 years or older to use this Site. By using the Site you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.
Users who submit profiles are responsible for ensuring the information is accurate. Submitting false, fraudulent, or misleading information about a person is prohibited and may result in immediate removal of the profile and termination of your account.
All payments are processed through Stripe and are non-refundable unless required by law. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Inmate Connection is a listing directory. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any profile. We reserve the right to remove any profile at our discretion without notice.
All content on this Site — including the compiled directory and database of listings, profile write-ups and tags we author, site design, graphics, and the selection and arrangement of information — is the property of Hush Enterprises LLC and protected by copyright and other applicable law. Photos submitted by users or their families remain the property of the submitter but may not be copied or reused from this Site without permission.
You may not, without our prior written consent:
Standard search engine crawlers (Google, Bing, and similar) are permitted solely for the purpose of indexing the Site for search results. Violations may result in termination of access, IP blocking, and legal action, including claims for damages.
The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Hush Enterprises LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
